Nakifuma County Mp Ssimbwa monitors Nkooko Swamp Road Restoration work done by MoWT
NAKIFUMA COUNTY OVERSIGHT ACTIVITY AT THE NKOOKO SWAMP ROAD RESTORATION WORKS BY MoWT
As part of my duties, today i had an opportunity to make an oversight activity on the ongoing Nkooko swamp road section restoration works by the Ministry of Works.
It’s quite a good development after the long struggle as area leaders to make sure we engage the Ministry of Works to get this unpleasant road section fixed urgently. This particular section that connects Kasawo sub county to Ntunda sub County has always flooded and blocked transport activities during the rainy season which affects our agricultural communities in the nearby subcounties of Kasawo and Ntunda in Nakifuma County since they have no alternative safe route to the markets to sale their produce.
I am quite optimistic for the timely completion of the works as briefed by the site engineer, though the works have been abit slow in the recent days. I thank the residents for their patience for all this time. Hon Ssimbwa Fred MP Nakifuma County
